For such a time as this

The people of Uganda, the “pearl of Africa,” are in a unique and timely position to influence all of Africa. Theirs is a strong and politically stable nation, respected throughout the continent. The church of Jesus Christ was first planted in Uganda more than 300 years ago.

Many of the young leaders we’ve talked with are fed up with self-serving leadership behaviors and outcomes. Learning to tie their faith to leadership opportunities—committing to lead like Jesus—could transform a nation and a continent, to the glory of God.

Could it be that God is preparing the people of Uganda as a redeeming influence across a highly diverse group of nations experiencing rapid growth and continuing political, economic and religious struggle, encouraging and equipping leaders in every corner of Africa?

Pray to that end. And don’t stop praying. (We know already that redemption is God’s will. Always.)
